So, I have a tiny confession to make; I’m obsessed with all things Real Housewives, including the franchises in other countries! An episode is almost always playing in the background while I work, so it only made sense to turn my love for the shows into a travel guide series. To kick off the series, this Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide emerged victorious. Yes, I know that OC is the OG of the franchise, but Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) is where the franchise skyrocketed into stardom.

Be warned, many of the references may not make sense if you’re not a fan of the show. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend starting from Seasons 1 to 9. Those seasons were packed with drama, entertainment, and iconic moments that you won’t want to miss. You’ll find yourself immersed in the juicy storylines and unforgettable one-liners that have become part of pop culture. From “bloop!” to other memorable quotes, the Real Housewives of Atlanta delivers humor and sass that fans love. So buckle up and get ready for a wild ride through the world of RHOA!

A few of the noteworthy RHOA one-liners are:

Close your Legs to Married Men! – Nene

Bye, Ashy! – Porsha

Who Gonna Check Me Boo? – Sheree

Fix it, Jesus! – Phaedra

Gone with the Wind Fabulous – Kenya (Queen Beyonce is also on tape quoting this!)

B*tch, I’m Worldwide – Kandi

Where to Stay for this Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide

Whether you’re a local or visiting Atlanta, I highly recommend spending at least one night at the hotel that was the backdrop for one of the most chaotic scenes in the show. Plus, its central location makes it convenient for exploring many of the activities mentioned in this guide. I’m talking about the legendary Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead, where Nene hosted the infamous pajama party in Season 6 Episode 13. It was a memorable messy episode that stirred up quite a storm and remained a hot topic until the jaw-dropping reunion episode took its place with Kenya vs Porsha’s rumble.

InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta: 3315 Peachtree Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30326

Day 1 of Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide

Armed with RHOA one-liners, welcome to Atlanta and start the RHOA-inspired travel guide with OLG for brunch. Perhaps you’ll run into Kandi, Don Juan, or the OLG ladies while munching on Kandi’s Honey Glaze Blackened Salmon with Mashed Potatoes. Be sure to order a cup of Aunt Nora’s Sneaky Georgia Peach to go with Kandi’s Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding and thank me later.

Twirl into Kenya’s Hair Spa and give your hair a fabulous treat for the fun times you are about to indulge in – it’s a 20-minute drive from OLG, so make sure to schedule an appointment before going there.

If you’re up for renting high-end fashion for the evening, book an appointment in advance and drive about 13 minutes to Marlo’s Le Archive for unique luxury pieces. Keep in mind that, as per the website, “Lé Archive is strictly open to wardrobe stylists, fashion directors, costume designers, tastemakers, and creative directors only,” so there’s a chance your request may not be accepted. Alternatively, you can opt for a more affordable option at Kandi’s Tags Boutique and have the clothes delivered to you.

As for dinner tonight, it’s all about embracing the drama, RHOA style, so you’ll need to choose between two camps:

Camp Frick & Frack: Dive into the delicious world of Nigerian cuisine at Little Lagos Restaurant, known for catering Porsha’s, ex-Mrs Guobadia, wedding reception. I’ve personally savored their jollof rice with assorted meats and highly recommend it! Based on Porsha’s posts online, she loves their Egusi soup with Pounded Yam. After your flavorful meal, take a stroll to Boum Boum, a lounge/club right next door, and dance the night away!

Camp Dungeon Party: Begin your evening at Sage Woodfire Tavern Perimeter, where Kandi confronted Kim during Season 10 Episode 16 with her memorable line, “If you don’t like it you can do what you always do and take your a$$ back out to that car!” Indulge in their delectable Jambalaya Shrimp & Grits and soak in the lively atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant transforms into a club from 10 pm to 2 am, promising a night of dancing and fun!

If you are in the mood for an extra sultry night, a strip club nightcap is a fun way to wrap up the Dungeon Party night. Drive to Clermont Lounge and you might also be treated to what Peter witnessed when he said “That looks like somebody’s mom.”

Day 2 of Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide

After an exciting Day 1, take the morning to rest and recharge. For an early lunch, head over to Dennis’s Hot Dog Factory for a delicious wake-up call. Indulge in their Jamaica Jerk Chicken Dog paired with Factory Loaded Fries and a refreshing glass of water. Don’t forget to treat yourself to Deep Fried Oreos for dessert! Staying hydrated is key to keeping your energy up for the rest of your RHOA-inspired adventure.

Keep the excitement going by joining the pedal bus tour, just like Marlo and Porsha did, sipping Henny, enjoying Hookah, and sharing juicy gossip. Depending on your stamina and the weather, you can opt for a 45-minute pedal session that includes a stop at a bar. Keep in mind that food and drinks aren’t part of the tour package, so plan accordingly. It’s a lively way to explore the city and experience some of the RHOA vibes firsthand!

Take a break and indulge in some well-deserved relaxation at the organic spa that Kenya visited in Season 7, IWI Fresh Garden Day Spa. Treat yourself to rejuvenating facials or explore their range of services, including Yoni steam treatments, deep tissue massages, and body scrubs. It’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge before another exciting night out in Atlanta.

After pampering yourself at the spa, return to your accommodation, freshen up, and dress to impress for an unforgettable dinner experience at Kandi’s Blaze restaurant. Be sure to review their dress code guidelines to ensure a smooth entry. Blaze keeps the energy high with a DJ set until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, promising a night of dancing and entertainment. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to make the most of your final night on this exciting itinerary.

Day 3 of Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide

On your final day in Atlanta, treat yourself to a nourishing meal at Veda Juice to recharge your body and energy before heading to the airport. Fun fact: Veda Juice is where Kandi revealed to Sheree her decision to remove Nene from her tour due to Nene’s controversial comments at a comedy show. This marked the start of Nene’s tumultuous journey leading to her last season 12 and subsequent clashes with NBC.

Veda Juice is conveniently located less than 30 minutes from the airport, so plan your time accordingly! Enjoy their Acai Power Bowl for a nutritious boost, grab a Southwestern Wrap for your flight, and top it off with a refreshing cup of Sun Up cold-pressed juice. It’s the perfect way to wrap up your weekend adventure following our Real Housewives of Atlanta Inspired Travel Guide!
